This highly engaging seminar is designed to provide you with an understanding of the importance of sleep on your work and home performance and includes lots of helpful tips on how you can achieve good quality sleep on a regular basis.
The session will include:
- Sleep - its importance for health and performance, sleep cycles, how much is really needed and common sleep disorders.
- Timing - optimal bed and wake times, winding down, power napping, Sunday night effect, shift work and jet lag.
- Bedroom - comfort, noise, light, temperature, family and children, bed sharing and bedding.
- Lifestyle - caffeine, exercise, alcohol, body weight, smoking and stress.
- Stress - How to switch off your racing mind, how to sleep when stressed or worried, how to sleep when faced with big work and life events, how to sleep when you know you have to get up early the next day, how to sleep when your emotions or bodily sensations are in fight or flight mode.
- Q&A session - opportunity to ask questions.
- Top Sleep Tips Info Sheet - all employees will take away a Sleep to Perform information sheet highlighting all of the main points discussed during the seminar.
A sandwich lunch will be provided from 11.30am.
